Description
Postcard with a black and white photograph of an ice gorge on the Kaw River on the front. Photograph depicts the oriver covered in ice sheets. At the bottom of the photograph "1839A. Ice Jam, Kaw River, Lawrence, Kans. Photo by Studio Jackson" is printed in white ink. A white border is around the entire photograph. On the back in the middle "Mfgd. by M.L. Zercher Book and Sta. Ca., Topeka, Kan." is typed sideways in black ink. A note is written on the back to Miss Charlotte Parrette in Topeka, Kansas from "you know who" in Lawrence, Kansas. Dated and postmarked June 5, 1911.
