Postcard with a black and white photograph of the Sullivan home after the 1911 tornado on the front. Photograph depicts a house on its side and several people standing in front of it. At the bottom of the photograph is a black strip with "8979A The Sullivan Home, Upside-down, Lawrence, Kans." printed in white ink. A white border is around the entire photograph with "this is the place where Mrs Sullivan was killed" written in pencil on the top border. On the back is a note from 1304 Rhode Island Street from a mother to child, dated May 23. On the back in the middle "Mfgd. by M.L. Zercher Book Stationery Co. Topeka, Kansas" is printed sideways in black ink. Information on when and where the postcard was acquired is on the back, 10/4/1986 from L.T. Ottawa.
