Postcard with a black and white photograph of the Bowersock Opera House on fire on the front. Photograph is angled to focus on the corner of the building facing the street. On the first floor are Lawrence Journal signs on the front and side of the building. The roof and most of the street side of the building has been destroyed and the inside structure of the building can be seen. A large amount of smoke is around the side of the building. At the left side of the photograph "Burning of Bowersock Opera House, 2-18-1911 #2" is printed in white ink. A white border is on the right side.
